17 Days Safari in Uganda to discover the Gems of the Land.

Day 1: arrival in Kampala at Entebbe international airport and transfer to the hotel

On arrival our tour guide will pick you up on the airport and transfer you to the hotel where you shall have a relaxation time and enjoy the beach at Lake Victoria

Day 2: visit to Namugongo shrines and Kasubi tombs

In the morning after breakfast, you shall drive to the city to visit the Namugongo shrines that have a deeper history and evolution of Christian religion in central Uganda as well as visiting the Kasubi tombs that have a traditional stronghold in the Buganda kingdom where kings and princes of the kingdom were buried back in ancient times. After this you can pass by some local markets on your way back to the hotel and taste fresh fruits of the land like pineapples, and the famous jackfruits in the central part of the country.

Day 3: visit to Lake Victoria and source of river Nile for white water rafting

In the morning you shall drive to Lake Victoria where the R.Nile starts its voyage all the way up to Egypt. Here you shall later go on to Jinja for white water rafting, a thrilling experience with the roar of water making its way through the rocks. This activity has trained and professional guides that take you through for safety. After this activity you will drive to Sipi valley resort for overnight stay.

Day 4: Sipi falls in Kapchorwa district.

You shall have breakfast in the morning and set off to view Sipi falls, arguably the most beautiful waterfalls in Uganda. You can also be able to have scenic views of Mount Elgon national park since the falls border the national park

Day 5: transfer from Sipi falls to Kidepo valley national park

Our tour guide will drive you to Kidepo valley national park the journey will start in the morning on this journey you can have stop overs at a local restaurant for lunch because it might take 7-8 hours to Kidepo savannah lodge where you shall have dinner.

Day 6: Kidepo valley national park

Later on in the morning after breakfast you shall have a game drive in the only place in Uganda you can find cheetahs, here the chances of viewing the fastest animal on earth will be high. You shall do nature walks and bird watching. After the activities you will be able to head back to the lodge for dinner and prepare for the next day.

Day 7: transfer from Kidepo valley to zebi eco lodge

In the morning after breakfast, our tour guide will drive you to Nakasongola district where you shall be doing rhino tracking at Ziwa rhino sanctuary your accommodation will be at zebi eco lodge. The drive will take about 7-8hours from Kidepo national park to zebi eco lodge.

Day 8: rhinoceros tracking at Ziwa rhino sanctuary

After breakfast in the early morning, our tour guide will drive you to Ziwa rhino sanctuary where you shall do rhinoceros tracking. This is the only place in Uganda you can find these endangered creatures and it will be a good experience.

Day 9: Murchison falls national park

In the early morning you shall then drive to Murchison national park that is famously known to be home to the most powerful waterfall that is forced through an 8 meter space. The pressure is so great the ground trembles near it. You can as well have a boat ride after being stunned by the features and views of nature in the game drive.

Day 10: Semuliki national park

In the morning you will set off and drive to Semuliki national park a true birders haven. A large sector of this low lying park is sometimes floods during the wet season a brief reminder of the time when the entire valley lay bottom of a lake seven million years ago. It’s also situated with the amazing Sempaya hot springs.

Day 11: Kibale national park

Your next destination shall be Kibale national park and the drive might take 1-2 hours. Here you shall do chimpanzee tracking that might take 2-3 hours and later enjoy the Bigodi swamp walk

Day 12: Queen Elizabeth national park

On the next day our tour guide will drive you to queen Elizabeth national park this journey might take 1-2 hours, where you shall do game drives here you can be able to see tree-climbing lions, elephants, buffaloes and giraffes in the game drives. Here you can as well do another boat ride on Kazinga channel that links Lake Edward and Lake George.

Day 13: Bwindi impenetrable national park

On the next morning you shall drive to Kanungu district the drive will take about one hour where you shall go to Ruhija sector for gorilla tracking experience. The national park is home to half the population of the world’s gorilla population. The activity will take about 4-6 hours depending on the location of the gorilla family given.

Day 14: transfer to Kisoro district and community tour 

This drive will take 4 and a half hours from Embogo lodge in Kanungu and on arrival you shall rest wait for lunch and later in the afternoon our guide will take you for the community tour of the people of Kisoro, the bafumbira. The bafumbira are one of the Bantu tribes located in the southwestern Uganda. They are original farmers and livestock keepers. The communities have a strong expression of hospitality to guests from outside places. Our tour guide shall take you through this whole memorable activity. You shall be able to visit local markets and be able to enjoy cultural dances of the locals.

Day 15: Mgahinga national park

In the morning after breakfast our tour guide will drive you to Mgahinga national park where you shall do the golden monkey tracking the activity might take about 3-4 hours and after here you will drive back to the lodge. On your way back you shall visit Ngarama caves which have a deeper context of the Batwa cultural experience, their ways of life and how they are evolving. After these memorable experiences our tour guide will drive you back to the lodge.

Day 16:  transfer to imperial resort beach hotel

After breakfast in the morning our tour guide will drive you to Entebbe at imperial resort beach hotel and the drive will 8 hours. You shall have dinner and overnight stay as you prepare to catch the departure flight on the next day

Day 17: transfer for departure flight at Entebbe airport.

Early in the morning after breakfast our tour guide will drive you to Entebbe international airport for your departure flight and on arrival you will check in at imperial resort beach hotel for the overstay night and catch the departure.
