The 4 Days Uganda Gorilla Trekking & Volcano Hiking Safari takes you to the misty Bwindi Impenetrable forest, home to more than half the population of the remaining 720 Mountain Gorillas.
Bwindi Impenetrable forest offers a unique birding opportunity, cultural experiences, and a scenic allure of stunning hills and lush vegetation inhabited by the elusive primates and pygmies. Gorilla tracking is the most enchanting experience in this forest. Uganda Gorilla trekking adventure offers the experience of a lifetime watching at close range these majestic apes as they feed, play, relax, and bond with the young.
You will have an opportunity to hike the volcanoes or to trek the Golden monkeys in Mgahinga National Park on this Uganda Gorilla Trekking & Volcano Hike Safari and then later enroute your safari stop for an experience at the Equator.

DETAILED ITINERARY
Day 1: Travel to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park
Our driver guide from Nsheka African Adventures will pick you up and we start off the 4 Days
Uganda Gorilla Trekking & Volcano Hiking Safari adventure early and drive to Bwindi Impenetrable
Forest, 8-9 hours away. This route is well endowed with remarkable tourist attractions including the Equator line, savannah plains, rolling hills, and a rich cultural backdrop. Lunch is at one of the many stopover points on the way. Arrival on time for your dinner and overnight at the lodge
Luxury Accommodation: Mahogany Lodge / Buhoma Lodge / Rushaga Gorilla Safari Lodge.
Moderate: Gorilla Resort Bwindi /Gorilla Safari Lodge / Lake Mutanda Resort / Gorilla Mist Camp.

Day 2: The Uganda Gorilla Trekking Safari Activity
You will have an early breakfast and be driven to the Park Headquarters for a briefing on the rules of Uganda gorilla trekking. After the briefing, you will set off for the gorilla trekking in very thick vegetation. Gorilla Trekking takes between 2 – 8 hours and you will have one hour to stay with these intelligent, majestic, and gentle giants that share over 90% of their genetic material with humans. In the afternoon you will drive to Kisoro town near the border with Rwanda and Congo. The drive will be through a beautiful part of the country often referred to as ‘the Switzerland of Africa’ because of its unique cool weather despite being near the Equator. You will see a great countryside, bamboo forests and have great views of the Virunga Mountains. Dinner and overnight will be at the gorilla safari lodge of your booking as per the above.

Day 3: Hiking / Trekking / Canoe ride / Local coffee preparation experience
On this day you can choose one of the four complimentary tours that can be undertaken. You will either go for a Volcano hike in Mgahinga, Golden monkey trekking, or a Canoe ride on Lake Mutanda or be taken through the process of how coffee is raised in the garden and locally processed for drinking. You will return to the Lodge for dinner and overnight at your lodge as above. Meal plan: Full board basis
Day 4: Travel back to Kampala
You will depart Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park after breakfast and travel back to Kampala with a stopover for lunch in Mbarara town. You will continue the journey and make another stopover at the Equator where you will have an opportunity to stand in two hemispheres at the same time and take some photos arriving in Kampala in the late afternoon. Transfer to the hotel / Airport for flight Home.
