Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Pick up from Entebbe airport and transfer to the hotel.

Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our professional driver guide from Nsheka African Adventures, who will be holding a signboard with your name for easy identification. After a brief introduction and assistance with your luggage, you will embark on a comfortable transfer to your hotel. Along the way, your guide will provide a brief overview of the city and share insights about Uganda, ensuring a smooth and engaging start to your trip.

Once at the hotel, you will be assisted with check-in and given time to settle into your room. The evening will be at your leisure, allowing you to rest after your journey or explore the hotel’s facilities. Overnight stay at the hotel in Entebbe, preparing for the adventures ahead.

Day 2: Drive to Lake Mburo National Park.

We drive from Entebbe to Lake Mburo National Park, located in the Southern part of Uganda along Masaka road. Just this journey has a lot for you to see and you stop along the way to witness some of the largest banana plantation farms. You will also make stops at Mpambire to see the Royal Drum Makers at their craft. You will be taken to the Equator point where the northern and southern hemispheres of the world separate with each other.

Stand over the equator line and take photographs.

Before reaching the park, have a magnificent game drive and arrive in time for a boat ride on Lake Mburo. The acacia forests and wetlands are home to an impressive variety of antelope including the impalas and giant eland. Zebras, Giraffes, Buffulloes and others.  The lake is rich with a variety of animals and plant species which will be viewed clearly as on the boat trip. Expect to see hippos, crocodiles and birds like Black crake, Heron, Pelicans, fish eagle, African Finfoot, cormorant, you may also sight the rare Shoebill Stork and more. Retire for the.

Day 3: Morning game drive transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

After having breakfast, go for game viewing because the park is famous for its richness in biodiversity. It has an estimate of 68 different species of mammals such as Impala, jackals, Buffalo, Eland, leopard, Topi, Hyenas and Zebra. The five lakes within the park attract crocodiles, hippos, and a variety of water birds, while the fringing swamps hide secretive papyrus specialists, such as the sitatunga antelope and red, black and yellow papyrus Gonolek. After the view, we drive to Bwindi Impenetrable forest national park and on arrival relax while preparing for the next day activity.

Day 4: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest 

After Morning breakfast, we group up for briefing then enter the sanctuary at sunrise and enjoy the beauty and freshness of the forest, home of the mountain gorillas. Continue through dense bush to trek for these endangered animals called the great Apes (Gorillas). Other primates also live in the forest including the, black-and-white colobus monkey, redtailed monkey, and chimpanzee. This can be very tiresome since the ground is steep, muddy and thickly forested, sometimes with rain over, therefore a good physical condition is recommended, relaxation in evening or an optional community walk. Return to the Lodge for dinner and overnight as above.

Day 5: Golden Monkey tracking in Mgahinga forests and Transfer back to Kampala.

Begin your day with an exciting Golden Monkey tracking experience in Mgahinga National Park. Accompanied by an expert guide, venture into the forest to observe these rare and playful primates in their natural habitat. Learn about their behavior, unique characteristics, and the conservation efforts aimed at protecting them. This memorable trek offers incredible opportunities for photography and a deep connection with nature.

After the tracking activity, return to your lodge for a brief refresh and lunch before embarking on a scenic drive back to Kampala / Entebbe town.
